You love the cheese and spinach pie? Why not try to prepare it at home? It’s simpler than you thought and also much healthier than bought from the bakery.
– 1 packet of puff pastry dough
– 17 oz spinach
– 7 oz feta cow cheese
– 3.5 oz cow cheese
– 1 onion
– 4 eggs
– 2 cloves garlic
– 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Chop the onion and fry it in a roomy pan until it becomes glassy. Add the minced garlic and frozen or fresh spinach, chopped. Braise everything until the water from onion and spinach evaporates. Then turn off the stove and let the composition to cool.
Meanwhile, add the feta and cow cheese in food processor. Mix well until you get a cream. Then incorporate the eggs.
Pour the mixture over spinach and mix well. Season with salt and pepper and add the nutmeg.
In a tray greased with butter or lined with baking paper, add a sheet of puff pastry dough. Smear it well with melted butter or oil, then pour the composition of cheese with spinach. Cover everything with the second sheet of dough.
Bake the pie until the dough is well browned. Then leave it to cool before you cut it.
Serve the pie with a salad of tomatoes with oregano and basil.
